Where was God when the earthquake struck Haiti?

I was asked this question the other day.  Our planet is falling apart at the seems with Tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes  and global warming and the     Bible warns us we are to expect these things as our world slowly comes to an end.  God did not punish the people of Haiti  by sending them an earthquake, but He did miraculously save lots of people who were pulled out of the rubble a week after the quake.  The main religion of Haiti is Voodoo but Channel 4 showed the Christians praising God that they were alive and the reporter said that many people are turning to God who saved them from certain death.  We witnessed amazing     miracles as people were pulled out of the rubble a week or more after the earthquake having had nothing to eat or drink all that time.  Only God could have done that.   As a Church we sent £100 via Christian Aid.

Whenever there are tragedies God is always there saving some.  Now is the time for us to return to God as we don't know what will happen next
