Is the church being deceived by Todd Bentley? How can any Christian imagine that a man who claims to receive guidance from an Angel called Emma to be of God? Angels are male. I think Emma is his spirit guide! As for the tattoos, he says God told him to have, many of them are occult. On his arm he has a death mask of Jesus with a monkey in the beard and an oni at the tip of the beard. What more do we need to realise this man is very misguided. People say the worship is fantastic. I don't doubt that for a moment or the miracles because it is all in the name of Jesus. Surely just one look at the man should ring warning bells. It is the miracles that seem to convince respected Christians that he is of God but before we fall into that trap, we should note what Jesus said about that. Matthew 7 v 22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me you evil doers.' This is serious stuff. Jesus made it quite clear that charlatans could heal in the name of Jesus which Christians don't seem to understand. Then there is his friend Paul Cain who is a clairvoyant and a practicing homosexual. Presumably that is OK too so long as the miracles keep coming and the prophesies please people. Revival fires in Dudley has been peddling this stuff for some time. Things like portals of glory where you stand under the portal to receive glory from the third heaven. We desperately need revival with miracles, signs and wonders and people repenting of sin as in the Welsh Revival. There is an excellent article on the letters page of the July Joy magazine by Graham Field explaining it better than I can. By the way, I am hungry for more of the Spirit to evangelise our town. No, Todd Bentley is a fake and a very clever one too.
